Itinerary

  • Reykjanes Peninsula: Head southwest from the capital and have your cameras ready as you will be passing by the president's house and old fishermen's houses in Hafnafjordur to finally reach our Reykjanes Peninsula - a land of volcanoes and geothermal activity.
  • Kleifarvatn Lake: Stop to admire the picturesque lake Kleifarvatn. Keep a look out, as this water is rumored to be hiding odd creatures in its depths.

  • Gunnuhver Hot Springs: Experience one of a kind geothermal area of mud pools with a ghost story embedded in its past.
  • Grindavik: Experience the dramatic landscape around Grindavík, where you can witness the newly formed lava fields and the eerie, abandoned city that was once a thriving community.
